Story

We did it team!! well done us. I want you all to know how much I value you all. I could not have got through this awful time without good friends and good family. I have already signed up for the 10k next year and I hope you'll join me for another Team Rudge outing. If you have any other idea's to raise a few pounds feel free to suggest a beer and a curry to discuss it. David Malcolm and I are already embarking on a sponsored slim. We will aim to lose a stone each and when we reach the target weight we will donate some money to the fund. We raised an awful lot of money but this was only possible thanks to our donors. A BIG BIG heartfelt THANK YOU to EVERYONE who suported us by donating hard earned cash. If you can see this Jane, I just want you to know I love and miss you morning noon and night .. and if running around London like a demented Forrest Gump prevents another family losing somone they love and feeling the pain that goes with it then thats what I will continue do xxx

It was very emotional Ian. Your time was fantastic...you ran with a mission...everyone did well but more important was the reason why we were all there as a team. Very proud of you mate and big hugs. Another significant memory attributed to Jane. Here's to next year's run. xx

Hi Ian, have just been reading your open letter to our lovely school and your words have moved me to tears. I'm so sorry to hear of your very sad news, and from your photo, your wife looked like one of life's wonderful people. I hope you and family find just a tiny bit of solace in the work that you are trying to do to raise awareness of this silent killer to other women. I'm sure your wife is very proud of all of you. As a very small gesture (in the whole scheme of things), my husband, Paul and I have made a donation to your fund in the hope that every little counts. Good luck to you all on the Run, and if you ever spot me in the play ground, please come and say, as I'd love to meet you! With very warm wishes Liza Brissenden Hemstock Governor and Chair of FOBS

Thanks so much to all our sponsors who have donated so generously. It is a year today since our beautiful Jane was diagnosed with Ovarian cancer. We all hope that the money raised by Team Rudge will go towards vital research into Ovarian Cancer and may one day help another woman who we might know or love to survive a little longer. We all miss Jane very much. Lisa x

Hello team, It's 8 weeks today to the big event. Well done to all of you who have started to ask for sponsorship. Since the first requests went out yesterday morning we have already raised £125 for the run. If we were to keep that up, on that daily rate - we would raise £7000 by May 30th. There are also general funds of £195 which have been added to the charity via Jane's tribute page. I'm sure our target is well within reach. Keep up the good work. Lisa K x
